Main Goal

Develop growth of sales of HM CLAUSE products in Portugal as part of the general sales and development strategy of HM.CLAUSE IBERICA.

HM.CLAUSE IBERICA (part of the International Vegetable Seed Division of Limagrain) is looking for a Technical Sales Representative (TSR) based in Portugal. This person will be responsible for the implementation of the company’s sales strategy in Portugal and will be directly responsible for all the sales and development activities in this area.

They will report directly to the Regional Sales Coordinator for the North of Spain and Portugal and collaborate closely with the Product Development Responsible (both based in Spain). This person will also give support to the existing distribution channels in Portugal.

Job description

• Iniciar y mantener contacto con clientes actuales y potenciales de importancia estratégica para la empresa, a través de llamadas y visitas personales.
• Crear demanda de los clientes mediante acciones promocionales y/o recomendaciones de variedades específicas.
• Realizar ensayos de las nuevas variedades en la zona y promocionarlos en el mercado.
• Desarrollar datos de rendimiento de productos en ensayos para determinar las características, ventajas y beneficios de nuevos productos y hacer recomendaciones al Responsable de Desarrollo en relación con nuevos productos que se deban avanzar en la línea de productos comerciales.
• Participar en ferias, días de campo y actividades relacionadas a la promoción y venta de productos.
• Proporcionar soluciones técnicas a problemas presentados por los clientes y mantener informado al Coordinador Regional.
• Anticiparse a las tendencias del mercado e identificar nuevas variedades que permitirán HM. Clause aprovechar oportunidades considerables de crecimiento.
• Mantener un alto nivel de conocimiento acerca de los productos clave de la competencia.
• Realizar previsiones objetivas, realistas y fiables para su zona de ventas y estudios de mercado.
• Atender y solucionar las reclamaciones de los clientes.
• Gestionar los cobros a clientes según las directrices de la Empresa.

• Sales experience in agriculture-related environment
• Self-driven and proactive with keen team spirit
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Highly organized and motivated to improve continuously
• Accustomed to working outdoors in extreme weather conditions for long periods

Other information:

This position requires extensive travelling within Portugal and abroad and up to 40% of nights will be spent outside of regular residency.
